You achieve an illusion mind-affecting spell DC of 40 with the above build:Įnchantment mind-affecting (Feeblemind) DC is 35, which is another powerful spell if enemies are immune to fear and you're out of grandmaster rod charges. As before, evasion is important to survive (SPOILERS) 75 unresistable unavoidable unholy damage bombs even with a successful save during the endgame boss fights. Monk/paladin levels for cha to AC and saves, and smite evil for +13 attack bonus/ac/damage. Arcane bloodline gives +2 illusion DC, +4 initative, 5d6 sneak attack (sense vitals), and an extra save-or-suck spell to make use of the Tyrant effect. Magus gives CHA-based arcane spellcasting (for dispel magic and Phantasmal Killer) and level 6 spells, quickened metamagic that stacks with grandmaster rod, 3/4 BAB, prescient attack/dimensional blade, axiomatic/Keen weapon enchantment, and fighter levels for weapon specialization/greater weapon focus. Your dimensional strike means you really only target 30+AC at most anyway, and each hit reduces their AC further. Unfortunately, this+Tyrant being a Flail means we have to STR melee with gnome's -2 STR in effect. We choose gnome purely due to the racial +1 DC to illusion spells. ![]() You can't dump Int completely since you still need persuasion and UMD. The only class combination that can meet this is Eldritch Scion 16+4 full BAB class levels. You want enough skill points to get 20 persuasion and have 13 UMD. You need STR to hit with a flail, as there is no slashing or piercing grace with the flail. You need 16 BAB to maximize number of melee hits. You need max spell levels on whatever spontaneous spellcaster you have for heighten metamagic. You need arcane bloodline+15 levels of spontaneous spellcaster level for school power (+2 DC). You need Gnome for racial +1 DC to illusion spells. SPOILER Note that you can get the Tyrant flail extremely early in the game by just dimension dooring into the location. Illusion focus is taken to support the Tyrant melee->Phantasmal Killer trump card for endgame bosses. OK early game, with full Dazzling Display suite. At the end of your 3rd round, the build one-shots the bosses with a quickened Grandmaster Rod activated Phantasmal Killer (swift action). First, the build hits the bosses for 3 rounds with the "Tyrant" flail in melee, reducing all their saves by -15. This build is focused on soloing the hardest endgame bosses in the game (spoiler: Spawn of Rovagug, Lantern King) in melee and consistently kill them as fast as possible (3 rounds), without any companions, summons, or other help, in unfair difficulty. ![]() Update : Added Quickened Metamagic Magus Arcana at level 18 you can now solo kill in 3 rounds.
